Yes - candidates like to confuse this revision number with the
Configuration Revision number from VTP. Watch out - it does not work
like that at all.

As you see it does not increment with changes to the Instances.

Think of the revision number as part of the name that you give the MST
domain. It must match on the systems like the name does. So really you
are dealing with a two part name for the MST domain.

I like to think of the revision number as a "version number" for my
implementation.

doesnt increase when a change occurs, so is it just a number that needs
