I nearly walked out on my first, and my third attempt. The best thing you
can do is continuously put yourself in similar conditions. I've found the
best way to do this is to purchase mock labs, or the CCIE assessor. This
really gives you the same feelings as the real deal, but at a cheaper cost.
When your running into issues with things remember to keep moving. Grab the
stuff you know the answer to, and then come back. When you get stuck on
something, and you've finished numerous other tasks this will make things
much easier at the end. As BD says, you have to have a game plan and stick
to it. Unfortunately for some of us, it takes a few trips to get the process
refined, if you try to hurry things too much. If you felt pretty comfortable
about everything they asked you, take another 1.5-2 months to study and take
it again. It helps to get right back on.
