I have just started labbing I've hit the MCAST section and I'm arguing over an issue with my lab partner. Please clear it up for me. Does the IGMP JOIN-GROUP command emulate a mcast server (like he says!) or does it represent a client request to join the group (Like I say!) I thought that a ping from the other end of the network represented a server.
