Dear all,
I have some question in MVR congiuration compatible mode on 3560 switch
1- when there is router connected to the switch and this router send
multicast feed to the switch configured in MVR, does the source port
connected to the router need to be access port in multicast vlan , or it may
be a trunk port ??

2- when runing MVR in compatible mode, if for example i configure mvr for
group 227.7.7.7, then i need to put igmp-join 227.7.7.7 on the router port
connected to the switch , and also configure the switch souce port and
receiver port to receive multicast feed using

*mvr vlan* vlan-id *group* ip-address

or it is not mandatory to configure it on source port

best regards ,
