Hi All,
I have got my CCIE R/S lab yesterday (11th Jan 2007) in 1st attempt in
Dubai. It was great and a challenging experience for me to finally get this
number. I had working knowledge of Routing and Switching as part of my 7
year career but I had to align my experience with the exam blue print and
for this I would like to thank some people who made it possible for me.
Internetwork Expert for their excellent CoD and Workbook, which has guided
me all the way to focus on the technology in the correct direction. First
time I did full Vol I and II after reading some recommended books (like Jeff
Doyle Vol I and II, Cisco LAN Switching, white papers for QoS and some other
relevant stuff), then I took CoD and I must say it has clarified many of my
practical concepts (Brians did a great job I must say), after CoD I have
done all the Vol I and II labs once more and trust me with a great
difference and clear concepts.
Last and the most important, I took R/S bootcamp conducted by Mr. Khawar
Butt in Synergy Professional Training Center in Dubai just 25 days before my
lab date. It was very much effective for me to fill in the required gaps.
Thanks to Mr. Khawar Butt for his valuable time during the bootcamp which
has led me all the way to reach at this stage.
I will most probably go for CCIE Service Provider but for sure after
enjoying some days :-)
Note:
I was reading a post about Dubai Lab some days ago; it was perfectly fine
although it is remote. I haven't come through any issue during the exam and
Proctor was very good as well.
Good luck to all the candidates for their future exams.
Thanks and Regards
Ali Sheeraz Mehdi
