RE: Cisco Assessment Tool

Hmmm...

When I took the Assessment Lab it had 6 Routers and 2
Switches in it.

It was laid out exactly or almost exactly as the labs
I saw later.

I took it in May 2006 last year - they only had one
lab back then.

The way they graded by script seemed clunky and did
not seem to match what I had actually configured as I
recall, but hey what can you do.

Overall, I thought it was worth it, if nothing else
but to give me a "REAL" view of what the physical
topology and layout of what the actual lab would be.

They now have 2 versions of the lab and the new one
includes 4 switches.

Naturally, I'd like to see how this layed out so I'll
probably shell the bucks out to see it.

The questions are very similar to the lab and I think
that is a very important and helpful tool.

I would not buy it in lieu of the vendors labs, I
would only buy it after I had at least one vendor's
labs.

You do get more feedback from the various vendors labs
- I've used NMC and IE Checkit and Mock Labs
respectively to date.
