Before mine finally arrived, I was convinced that I'd recertify before it
would make it. It came with a 1/4" crack in the back that, from the front,
looked like a rat took a bite out of it. I emailed ccie@cisco.com about it
and they said they'd ask them to send me another. Based on the original
delivery time, it'd seem unreasonably impatient for me to check on the
replacement before April. At the end of the day, just getting a positive
response for my name/number from the ccie verification tool is all I really
needed from Cisco. My salary went up enough for me to commission a (small)
monument in recognition of my achievement.
