Hi,

I'm introducing myself. My name is Noel and I am preparing to take the CCIE RS lab exam in the later part of the year.

I've been in the field for about 7 years now working various jobs as a network engineer, and have experience with 3com, cabletron, cisco, extreme, foundry, and nortel and maybe just a little juniper.

I have completed some college but do not hold a degree. I have taken college networking courses before.

I do not put stock in a lot of certifications so I do not hold a lot of vendor certifications. I do have resepct for the CCIE since it is hands-on based.

I have passed the written qualification exam and have read some of the recommended books. I know routing and switching protocols and do take time to read rfcs when I need to.

I own a modest lab and have been practicing a bit on my own while studying for the written exam.

I work with a small group of network engineers and am hoping to join the ranks of the dedicated professionals who will pass and have passed the famous CCIE lab exam here on groupstudy.

I notice from the archives that some people prefer to form study groups, I have preferred to study in solitude but look forward to sharing ideas, configs, and questions with other like-minded professionals.

Thanks for listening and meeting me. I hope we can share a lot of ideas together, even if we never meet.
