Remember that BGP only performs MD5 encryption and clear text is not an
option. If you want to enter the password in it's encrypted form, then
option 7 can be used.
To test this, just enter the "neighbor xxx password test" and then enter
"service password-encryption" do a show run and copy the password in its
encrypted format and then paste it after the number 7. But you don't need to
use a number for BGP authentication.
