RE: rack rentals with 3560s?

I think that the initial coverage of MPLS in the R&S written exam is not
as comprehensive as it should be. Covering the basics and not the
applications seems pretty "strange" to me. Not discussing MPLS VPNs or
TE may be a sign that this topic should not have been included in the
blueprint in the first place. Outside the Service Provider, MPLS makes
no difference in the access technologies, unless there are many MPLS
implementations in large enterprises.

Is this an eligible topic to enter the R&S lab exam blueprint or is it
just like the Wireless technology that is not tested in the lab (was
it)?

I think he was referring to v3.0 blueprints. Trend to MPLS is a fact but
how
soon Cisco will add or replace a technology with that is still a
mystery.

Tony,
The discussion is in regards to the lab and not the written.

The R&S written does not contain MPLS yet.

Brian,

Actually, what I read was in another forum and is
heresay as far as my own eyes are concerned.

I have asked for confirmation and link if it exists.

Here's the quote:

"Just been scanning through the ask the expert forums
on cisco, the one where Maurilio gorito answers
countless "WHAT BOOKS DO I NEED" questions.. he does
mention on there that cisco are planning to replace
frame-reley with mpls in mid 2007, the written exam
now contains mpls, and so it'll be middle of the year
until it replaces frame-relay.
Can't say im that fussed to be honest, especially as
most large scan wan stuff is now mpls/l2tp/vpn so
we'll see how it messes up everyones study schedule!
hopefully it won't affect me as i'll pass before
summer,,, just got my train tickets and lab paid for
ready for Feb.... need to get this damn thing
nailed..'
