Default-information OSPF with a twist

Hi All, my take of OSPF with default-information originate is that it
needs a 0.0.0.0 static in order to be advertised. If there is no
static, then the <always> keyword will advertise the 0.0.0.0 even if
there is no quad zero static route.

Enter conditional default-information originate <route-map> to
conditionally advertise the 0.0.0.0 if it is matched in the route-map

I tried this with

default-information originate <route-map>

and

default-information originate always <route-map>

However, both generate a 0.0.0.0 even if there is no quad zero static
route configured. Any ideas why?

TIA

JB
