Joe,
There are many VB tools which give you full feature SNMP Agent within the
VB development environment. So you can call their components without getting
to the detail of writing a library for SNMP or other IP based protocols.
Check the Google for VB SNMP components or ActiveX and you will find many. I
used to use them for various application years ago. Now the .NET components
are more rich. I wonder if they have not put simplified version on the
VB.NET

Most folks who chase Cisco probably don't chase VB.
But I'm sure with 10,000+ people some might have the
