I agree that having a config management software tool makes a life a whole a
lot easier. But the truth is that Ciscoworks stinks. We manage 20,846 cisco
devices and not even spliting into 3 Ciscoworks servers could handle it.
Then we got a third product named ONA Oppsware and it's very good, it has
drivers for cisco and nortel devices.
