One of the best suggestions that I've heard was to prepare for the lab and
take the written in the meanwhile. Passing the written makes no sense unless
you want to pass the
lab and 18 month may be not enough to make a get to the level of passing.
Well, unless you want to put "passed CCIE written" in your resume... :-)
I've passed the written and what I used was Netmaster's (
www.netmasterclass.com ) written product. What I liked about it is that it
actually teaches you the technology and forces you to learn it rather than
memorize the answers.
