I had the same issue with our 3560s in our racks at www.ccbootcamp.com. I
havent done any research on it, nor hooked a breakout box to it, but I'm
betting it has something to do with flow-control, DTR, DCD, and CTS line
signals. Do a little research and let us know what you find out. (I used
to work for US Robotics in their tech support department a long long long
time ago...

That did it, but I am curious as to why the 3750 is looking for Modem INOUT
while the 3550 was satisfied with MODEM HOST? I am curious as to what
changed?

did you try changing it from:

Modem Host

to

modem InOut

??
