I use 12.4(8a) IOS code on Dynamips w/o issues. I happen to have Intel Duo
dual core 2.0 Ghz processor with 4GB of RAM. This is a bit overkill on the
RAM, but the dual core proc certainly helps. I get ~50% cpu utilization with
12 routers running, including FR switch. This is on a laptop nonetheless.
