As per the docCD.....
Once ODR is enabled on a hub router, the hub router begins installing
stub network routes in the IP forwarding table. The hub router also can
be configured to redistribute these routes into any configured dynamic
IP routing protocols.
On the stub router, no IP routing protocol must be configured. In fact,
from the standpoint of ODR, a router is automatically considered to be a
stub when no IP routing protocols have been configured.
ODR uses the Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) to carry minimal routing
information between the hub and stub routers. The stub routers send IP
prefixes to the hub router. The hub router provides default route
information to the stub routers, thereby eliminating the need to
configure a default route on each stub router.

I believe in the later IOS releases (see below), the default route is
automatically installed (on the spoke) as long as there is no other
routing protocols (or static routes) installed on the spoke router.

Subject: ODR default Routing
Hi everyone,
I was trying to find the feauture mentioned on the ODR Q&A document, but
I
couldn4t.
Has everyone know about how send a default routing in a ODR environment
from
the Hub to the spokes without using static routes or ip default-gateway
on the
spokes?
I did not find any new feature on the cisco web page.
Tks in advance.
Check below the document:
Do I need to configure a static default route in spoke routers?
A. You can configure a static default route in spoke routers only if
you are
using a Cisco IOS Software release earlier than 12.0.5T. In Cisco IOS
Software
Release 12.0.5T and later, there is a new feature that sends an
automatic
default route to spokes from the hub.
