Dear all,
I have a question concerning support of vpls in 7600 series.
My topology should be something like this:
Customer ----- 7609 -10 Gbit ---------[network] -------- 10 Gbit - 7609
--------Customer
There are some questions on which you can help me.
First of all for 7600 routers to support vpls what is needed - I have
chosen the sup720 - 3BXL supervisor and facing the customer for example
48 port - 10/100/1000
I have heard that maybe SIP is also needed. Is this true and if yes does
it enable vpls on the whole router meaning also the 48port switching
module.
For the 10 Gbit interfaces I have two options - WS-X6704-10GE or 1-Port
10-Gigabit Ethernet SPA. Does VPLS put a requirement for the core facing
interface or this will do the job ?
Thanks
