I'd like to add to this without breaking NDA. I took the 2.0 recently to see
if 4 switches were present, and get a feel for the requirements. I can
honestly say that the interface was less than great. Personally I didn't
really care for it either. I would much rather have a term server and my
Ctrl^6, I did however feel like the questions and requirements were very
very similar to my lab experiences. What I can say that I learned out of it
is do no more or less than what is required.
Overall I felt very similar time constraints and money leaking out of my
wallet as the CCIE lab, and I though that was priceless. It really makes you
think twice about being ready. Anyone with some extra cash and looking to
compliment the IE NMC and other vendors labs should give it a shot.
