Hi Group,
I am a little confused about the two following aspects of using "ip
mroute" and hope someone can give me some pointers:
1. when to use "ip mroute 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0" and when to use "ip
mroute [specific IP] 255.255.255.255". I understand that "ip mroute"
adds an "expected incoming interface" to multicast traffic. Should I
only use "ip mroute 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0" when there are multiple RPs and/or
dense mode is involved? Is there any special scenario where I should
use on but not the other?
2. when using [specific IP] in the "ip mroute" command, should I
always use the RP address or there are scenarios other IP addresses must
be used?
Thanks a lot....
