I didn't have any trouble booting the image (.iso)
in a virtual machine. I've burned the iso to a
disc and will attempt to boot it on a peecee soon.

However, I can't get it to boot with the
"persistant" option. Maybe I'm doing something
wrong, or maybe it's becuase I'm booting it in a
virtual machine.

What's the syntax for booting with 'persistance'?

  boot:live persistant

I don't plan to actually run a rack in a virtual
machine due to memory limitations. I plan to boot
my macbook to a the disc using persistant mode.

        There is an easier way.  Go to http://www.virtualpod.org.  There is a
        live CD you can download with everything installed and ready to go.
        Plus some video on how to get things up and running.
        
        I wrote a gui front end which manages IOS images and labs.
        
        It is still beta-ware so please send me bug reports/suggestions.
