It is an algorithm that implements a one-way mathematical function. So
you cant crack it but if you have access to the MD5 hashes of the
passwords, you can launch a dictionary attack. Using a large list of
words, phrases, and character patterns, you can compute the MD5 output
for each input, and compare the output to the stored MD5 hash until you
find a match. When you find a match, you've found the password.
Or do a password recovery given you have physical access to the router
:)
