I'm all for the routers on laptop for some additional study time. Just not
ALL the study time.

        Yes, I would not recommend it as a replacement for a home lab if you
already have one. There are enough bugs in the IOS already not to have to
deal with dynamips ones too ;) It is good for Service Provider studying
though because the cost of 7200 VXRs is really too much just for home lab
purposes. But like Scott said since we only have Ethernet and Serial in the
R&S lab now you can build a home lab without switches for pretty cheap.
Dynamips is however *much* better than the router "simulators" that are out
there for CCNA/CCNP and studies though.
