if you're referring to Dynamips, then yes I have used the virtual switch option an it worked fine
but I will say, dont bother, and use Dynagen - it vastly simplifies the Dynamips interface syntax
the virtual switch in Dynagen is just that - a virtual switch - it does not allow switch configuration practice, it merely emulates access and trunk ports
use Dynagen in conjunction with Dynamips
