Folks, I was working on a scenario few days back that involved redistribution between RIP and OSPF at 2 routers in the network. A RIP network which when redistributed into OSPF caused one particular router in the middle to choose a OSPF route over the RIP route even though the RIP path was the most optimal path to reach that particular network.
After doing mutual redistribution, I took care of problems such that routes did not get redistributed back to where it came from. You know what I mean.
My question is this: I can clearly see that sub-optimal routing resulted on some routers. Should I take care of these situations without the question explicitly asking for it ? (I mean in the real CCIE lab exam) Or should I not address this situation because the question did not explicitly ask for it.
Thanks in advance.
