HSRP timers

Folks, as you might all know the default HSRP timers are 3 and 10sec (hello and dead)
   
  If the question asks me to change the hello timer to 4 times the default, then I would automatically have to change the dead timer as well to 4 times the default as well.
   
  If the question asks me to change it 2 or 3 times the default value, then should I change the dead timer as well or leave it as is ?
