Deleted state indicates that no LMI is being received from the Frame
Relay switch.

Check your LMI type and the number of messages exchanged.

Layer 1 cabling, Layer 2...

Subject: Frame relay deleted dlcis

Hi

under what circumstances would I see a deleted dlci on my router when
using the sh fram pvc command.

I know if I configure a dlci locally (using fram map or fram int-dlci
cmd) then I get a deleted dlci if this dlci is not on the frs, ie I am
asking the frs to resolve via inverse arp a dlci it has no knowledge of
therefore I get deleted message. But if I remove all locally configed
dlcis I still see deleted dlci under sh fram pvc, even after a reload.
Why?

And as a follow up, when asked to use inverse-arp and only map the app
dlci, should I do a "no fram inver-arp XXX" where XXX is the active
(other than the one I need) , inactive and deleted DLCI, or is this over
configuration.
