For a lab environment I doubt you care. Of course this depends on what IOS
image you are running and what memory requirements there are. Certain IOS's
require more memory, more memory may require a newer NPE. Some NPEs only
work on VXR chassis.
;)
But if what you want works on a non-VXR chassis, then don't spend the extra
money for lab gear IMHO.
