Subject: Questions about the exam day

Hi,

A few quick questions for the
ones who've already taken the exam. (Please do
not answer if against your NDA)
1. What kind of environment should I expect ? How many people taking the
exam
in the same room ?

In San Jose' we were around 10, 4 for routing and
switches.

2. Am I going to have physical access to the kit ? If not is there
a
possiblity of power-cycling the box if something goes wrong ?

My rack was
on my left from where I was sitting, but I don't think I was allowed to touch
it. My PC crashed during the lab and I had to ask the proctor to reboot it and
log in again. Because of the crash all the lines to access my devices from the
access server were still in use and I had to clear them, but the TTY line
connected to one of the switches simply didn't want to respond anymore.
The
proctor insisted to say I had locked myself out of the switch, but fortunetely
I had already set up routing in my network so I could telnet to the switch
from one of the routers and prove him there was absolutely nothing wrong in
the configuration of the console line and/or the switch. He rebooted the
switch and everything was fine.

3. What is actually installed on the PC ?
Other than doc cd ? Calculator ?
Notepad ? Which terminal emulation software
being used ?

All the above. I didn't pay attention to the emulation software
in use

4. Will I be allowed to take any breaks other than lunch ?
Availability of
coffee and possibilities to smoke ?

You can take any break
you want. You can take drinks in the room, but not food.

Just curious
