I would say

First...
Always ask the procotor, I had a similar question that I brought up to the
procotor. I showed him that it didn't say anywhere in the lab manual to
advertise it... and after I finished the lab... this subnet still was not
advertised throughout the network. The procotor agreed... and told be to
advertise it and make it pingable.

Secondly....
if you are running out of time... and as long as the manual doesn't say to
NOT advertise this subnet... then advertise it.

Lastly...
leave it as is... but I think just asking the proctor will resolve the whole
issue... just make sure you read the whole manual and finished before you
ask.
