Frank,
This is due to the base configuration of the BB routers in the
InternetworkExpert setup. The BB router is configured to peer w/ MD5
for BGP and as you are probably in the IGP portion of the practice lab
the BB router currently has no peer or no authentication set up. Thus
the error messages you are seeing.
This is not RIP related, but to make sure your RIP auth is working
right, check the routing table on your IGP router and if the RIP
routes are showing up the auth is working right.
