Yes, I am preparing for the CCIE security. I'm using the
InternetworkExperts workbook version 2.0 since their equipment list is
very close to what I already have. (I'm taking the lab dec 13th)
I seem to be having motivation problems. Let me explain... The more of
these labs that I do, the less-prepared I feel. These labs are HARD,
and they take me a long time to do. I've been stuck on lab 3 for way
too long. Just that everytime I start on it again, I feel worse about
my readyness (viscious cycle).
Does anyone else feel this way about the security lab workbooks?
Anyways, the IE lab workbook seems very hard, so I wonder if the actual
lab is going to take me 20 hours too.
I have to admit though, I'm learning all kinds of cool things along the
way that I didn't know (like DMVPN), so if I never take the exam, at
least I'm having fun learning new stuff.
Thanks,
Curt Girardin, CCIE 15972 (R/S)
PS. I've put together what I consider to be an excellent powerpoint
presentation on the theory of how DMVPN works. I find that putting
together animated powerpoint presentations helps me to solidify my
understanding of complex technologies. If anyone would like a copy,
just unicast me. Also, if you want the animationto work, you'll
probably need powerpoint 2003 or better.
