Folks,
E.G. from DOC as follows:
Question is--the Group list is a standard ACL which to
my understanding works for SOURCE. In the e.g. below
would it work for MCAST Groups which are destination
addresses and not Source addreses ?
It says packets "to" any groups --where as the
standard ACL is "from" [source-based]
Or the E.G is wrong and named-extended ACL should be
used ?
any inputs are welcome.
Examples
In the following example, packets to any group from
sources in network 172.16.0.0 will have their packets
rate-limited to 64 kbps:
interface serial 0
ip multicast rate-limit out group-list 1 source-list
2 64
access-list 1 permit 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255
access-list 2 permit 172.16.0.0 0.0.255.255
Thank You,
