Do this in sparse and dense mode and see if there is a difference. Without
having IP NBMA on your frame hub, look at the mroute table and look at the
incoming/outging interfaces. You should see the actual interface port/slot
numbers are the same. If multicast traffic comes in from a spoke to the
hub, bound for the other spoke, the multicast traffic will be dropped
because multicast traffic cannot go out the same interface it came in
(equivalent to IP split-horizon). Now do the same thing with IP NBMA on the
hub interface. You will see the outgoing interfaces specify not only the
port/slot, but the IP address. This allows the multicast traffic to come in
and go out the same physical interface. Check it out.
