Not really. The 7200 router virtualizer (not really a simulator) is
incrediably flexiable. I've used it to set up full MPLS toplogies with 10
routers among other things. It's really an amazing tool.

You can even map ports to real ethernet ports so you can connect the
virtualized lab to real network devices. So at worst case, you may need to
buy a couple of 3550's and a few extra NIC's for your PC to build a full a
lab...
