I know its possible to upgrade to the 5.x OS on a
ids-4210 but it won't support inline mode.

Will you need anything else to get the other 5.x
features to work (like a special key) or is it just
like upgrading the IOS on a router? This device will
be used on a home lab for learning purpose only.
