RE: 7500 CPU Processes

Hi Subhash,

Thanks for the mail.

I don't have any ip accounting running.

I have figured out that , due to lots of subinterfaces doing traffic shaping
and policing , the packets are being process switched.

Iam looking for the way where I can let CEF do the work for me instead of
process switching ,I don't know if 7500 supports CEF with policing on the
subinterface.

Or If I can use MQC instead of Policing and Shaping on the interface
straight away , but again the problem is I can't match subinterface for
shaping and policing in class-maps.

Any help will be appreciated.

Cheers

Vishal

Hi Vishal,

Can you try disabling the " ip accounting" feature for a while and see if
its enabled?

Regards,
Subhash.
