Christian,

Congratulations on passing your CCIE Exam. Very well deserved I am
sure.

As for not getting the ticket, I am sure you would have traded a
speeding ticket for your CCIE number in the end. ;-)

As for the honey-to-do-list, which we all have, you can always trade
that in for your SECOND CCIE.

Best of luck and congratulations again.

Subject: Passed in RTP Yesterday!!!

Dear Friends on Groupstudy,

What a day I had yesterday. When I went to RTP yesterday to take the
lab, I
didn't quite get off to a great start. I wasn't able to sleep that
great
and I was running late in the morning and ended up getting there about 5
minutes late. About 15 minutes later, the proctor comes out and lets me
in.
Despite, however, getting off to a late start, I made good progress on
the
lab and ended up with about an hour and a half to verify and check my
configs. I felt confident, but I had been confident before and ended up
failing.

I had a late flight back to JFK so on my drive home I decided to stop by
my
office and check my email and see if I had any email. I didn't, so
after
leaving my office, just a few miles down the road, I get pulled over.
Now I
was not in the greatest neighborhood and was a bit freaked out because
it
was dark, the car was unmarked and two officers, not in uniform came
out.
The cop asked for my license and for me to step out of the car. Then he
asks me where I'm coming from. I told him I just got in from JFK and
stopped by my office to check my email. He looked at me like I had two
heads and said you stopped by your office at this time of night to check
your email? By now I figure these guys are probably narcotics police,
and
he's not buying my story. So I start to explain that I just came for
North
Carolina and took a really difficult certification and was checking my
email
to see if I received my score. After asking for my work ID, he sent me
back
to my car. A few minutes later he hands me my license and ID and tells
me
that I was speeding and that I should slow down and have a good night.

When I got home, still no score report, so I had a beer and went to
sleep.
When I got up this morning, there the email was. It was the same email
I
got when I failed, so I'm starting think that I failed this time too. I
logged onto the site and almost jumped through the roof when I saw that
I
passed. My wife was thrilled too. Not so much because I am a CCIE now,
but
because I get finally finish all those projects around the house that I
started, but had not finished because I needed time to study. So I've
got
to either come up with another really good excuse, or get to that long
honey-do list.

Anyway, I just thought I would share that. I know I have not posted a
lot
to the group, but I have read every posting and I have really learned a
lot.
Thank you!!

Cheers,
Christian Sica
