FYI.

New Advanced SE Training (ASET) CCIE R&S labs After many years of success with the ASET (Advanced SE Training) CCIE R&S labs, we have made some significant changes/updates to the labs. We have removed legacy technologies and evolved the content in the way we deliver form a full lab to modular content that is focused on a particular technology that you may want to focus on. We have recently upgraded the ASET CCIE labs for Routing and Switching with the following features. Removed legacy technologies
- Older technologies such as ATM and ISDN have been removed from the labs. New Topology
- We now have a new topology that is better aligned with the actual CCIE labs. New content
- New content has been developed, allowing an individual to focus on particular technologies that they feel they need more study time on, instead of running through a complete lab spending much of your valuable time on technologies and protocols that you may already have a high level of expertise in.
- There are 12 new lab exercises each lab is 1.5 - 2.0 hours in length and target a specific set of CCIE-related skills. A few examples are:
- IP IGP Protocol's
- eBGP and iBGP
- Bridging and Switching
- QOS
- Multicast
- IPv6 Other labs will be added in the future, including labs that will cover security. Remaining management tools
- The device management tools that were available in the original labs have been preserved. This allows you to remotely reset or power down individual devices.
- The Auto Verify tool also is still available and has been updated to support all of the new content. You can still check your configurations against this valuable tool, to get advice and letting you to better focus your time and efforts on the areas that you may need to spend extra study time. To schedule these, we are staying with the same procedure as we have used in the past. Channel SE's have scheduling rights, allowing them to schedule time on the pods for their channel partners who have both, passed the CCIE written portion of the CCIE program, and have their CCIE practical labs scheduled. We are allowing 72 hours of lab time a month. This time should be broken up in to time slots that is manageable by the candidate and does not block others in different time zones from using the pods. The new labs are labeled 'ASET-X' in the ASET scheduler. For ASET program details please refer to the following: Advanced SE Training (ASET) provides support on the path to
