Here is the post on the ccie sp list from back in April. I know I really
need to clear out my mailbox. :-)

"
i had no success with mpls on the 3620. At least not with the official ios
images. I tried these images which should be among the most recent ones
available for the 3620:

c3620-is-mz.122-15.T10.bin 12.2T IP-Plus
c3620-is-mz.123-17.bin 12.3 Mainline IP-Plus
c3620-j1s3-mz.122-15.T10.bin 12.2T Enterprise Basic

This matches also the result of the feature navigator, which does not
indicate mpls support on the 3620. FN shows a few features as mpls
enhanced for the 3620, but all the basic mpls functionality is missing.

If you don't mind unofficial images in your lab environment, you can try
to get your hands on a 12.0S image for the 3620. No support of any kind,
but works here very well: c3620-p-mz.120-28.3.S
In this image MPLS (LDP&TDP), MPLS/VPN, and basic MPLS-TE works.

The 3640 works fine as PE in the lab here. I am running
c3640-jk9s-mz.124-7.bin on it.

As other routers i am mainly using 4500/4700 with the inofficial 12.0S
images. Cheap and fast ..."
