Can't match on subinterfaces. For ether subints, use ip addr if
possible, if frame, match on dlci.

Subject: match input-interface & subinterfaces

Hi all,

I'm trying to create a class-map and use the 'match input-interface'
command.

But apparently it doesn't like matching the sub-interface I've
configured on the router.
Am I doing something wrong? Or does the 'match input-interface' only
work on
physical interfaces? Or could it be the IOS version I'm using
(12.3(17))?

The FastE 1/0 interface is trunked to a switch with two subinterfaces
configured.

R5(config-cmap)#match input-interface fastEthernet 1/0.52
                                                      ^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

R5(config-cmap)#match input-interface fastEthernet 1/0
R5(config-cmap)#

please advise...
