When you use dynamic (or auto-rp) you need a mapping agent.

Subject: Multicast - When did I need an mapping-agent
Hi,
currently I configuring multicast and try some configs.
I have two mc groups like 223.3.3.3 and 223.5.5.5
Right now it is not allowed to configure the RP static
But I will use R3's Lo0 Interface.
Maybe I only need on R3
ip pim send-rp-announce lo0 scope 16 group-list 1
access-list 1
permit 223.3.3.3
permit 223.5.5.5
Is this correct ? Or did I also an rp mapping-agent ?
ip pim send-rp-discovery scope 16
Thanks..
