Hi bajo,

Really thanks for this illustration, I got it , and I add the no-prepend keyword in front of local-as 200, and now AS 200 is not pre-pended any more on R4.

  Thanks again,

    Hi Ismail,

From the previous task, 5.3, R4 used to be in AS200 before it got acquired (and its AS changed to 100). So to fool AS254 to still think R4 is in as 200, u have to use local-as. But unfortunately that introduces new problem for the routes learned from AS254 where they are now pre-pended with As 200. That is what the Brians want u to fix....The clue is in the problem description. Just play with it :)

LAB 14 5.4 (PAGE NO. 260)

Soon after implementing this quick fix you received a call from an engineer from AS 200 who stated that they have lost reachability to AS 254. After working together on the problem you and this engineer have realized that routes you are learning from AS 254 are getting preened with AS 200 in the AS-Path , and are subsequently getting dropped when entering AS200 downstream. Configure your network to solve this problem.

I am really lost from A to Z in this task, I will be really grateful if some one who solved this lab before to explain what is this task is all about.

Thanks
Ismail
