Try disabling 802.11b rates, use only g rates 6,12,18,24,36,48,54.
Disable RTS/CTS.
I do not know how the AP's are disposed along the floor, but perhaps
reducing their power would reduce their contention for the medium.
What kind of traffic are you using to test your link? Remember that
Radio is a shared medium (half-duplex), and whether you are transmitting
data, or you are receiving it.

source in the building or in the next building which is using
overlapping
channels (same channel or near 4) with your AP). Radio interface errors
indicate that someone else is using the same channel and that you are
probably in his antenna radio range.
Are you using on your 5 APs overlapping radio channels? Are your
channels
enough divided (in frequency or in space)?
