After 24 months you are suspended for 6 months. If you do not pass a CCIE
written exam, you will go inactive and it will be required of you to take
and pass another CCIE Lab exam to become active again. In other words, take
and pass a friggin written exam within the 24 month or 6 month suspended
period or you'll be seeing our friendly neighborhood proctor again if you
want to become active. :)
thanks,

Subject: CCIE re-cert period [bcc][faked-from]
Hi there,
Hope you are all well.
Can anyone please clarify what happens if a person re-certifies the CCIE
after 24 months, i.e. if you go into "Suspend" state and then re-certify?
Does it go back to "Active" provided you have passed the CCIE Lab already?
Thanks!
John
