Mike,

sorry to hear about your latest attempt. I wouldnt call it a failure, when I
look back at the 4 attempts I made
before passing I could say none of them were "failures" but either learning
experiences or the simple fact that I just plain was not ready for the exam.
As you know the CCIE is like what you described, they nickle and dime you on
points until you have less than the required amount to pass. You cant really
figure out your exact score, but you can come close. I would take some time to
reflect on your report and then try to buckle down on those areas you were
weak on. You may have tested your multicast configuration but as with
everything on the lab, if it's not what they were looking for you dont get
points for it :( I would ask the proctors tons of questions, during my first
few attempts I asked little questions. The final attempt, I was up verifying
and clarifying ever 30 minutes or so..just to be sure.

Thanks all for the words of encouragement. After sitting down and basically
redoing my lab on paper I found 12 points in STUPID mistakes and also found
out why I had a working MCAST network, but a not a perfect one. Stupid
access-list mistakes cost me 14 points and lack of knowledge cost me an
additional 18 which is why I thought I passed. I finished up with a 68 or 70
