If the lab doesn't specify then use either one. They aren't going to
leave you both options to use and just assume you can read their minds
to know which one they are looking for during the grading.
If you run upon a task that has multiple solutions just look at the
wording of the task to see if they want one solution or another used.
If they don't specify, then just use whatever solution you are more
comfortable with that meets the requirements.
