Bajo,
They may not always be set to the default and they may
not be quite what you are used to from some of the
more prominent vendors...
However, they are very clear and concise and I do not
believe they are trying to trick you - at least not
from what I saw.
I think that whatever you may see, and whatever your
initial configs may look like, if you read the
questions and try not to read into the questions, then
you'll probably do fine.
My philosophy on the lab, is more like taking it and
performing well, as opposed to simply passing it.
The goal is to pass, but if you truly understand what
they are asking you to do, and you are capable of
these things, then all you have to do is concentrate
on your performance.
Many of the things you are asked to do are not at all
unlike the things we practice with our vendor-supplied
labs and indeed, some things may appear easier, but
then we fall to our own fears and doubts...
The lab does not beat the majority of lab candidates,
the lab candidate, himself or herself usually beats
the the lab candidate.
When you go, take the time to read the expressionless
faces of your peers who are there. You will see fear,
dread, and anxiety.
Try to relax, it is probably the best thing you can
do.
If you have conditioned yourself to taking 8-hour labs
before you arrive everything else should flow.
Anyway, this is how I feel about it.
