Hi:
I have a 3750 and a 3550.
The 3750 is not as feature rich.
There was a tunneling lab with ospf i couldn't complete because of this
hardware.
The qos is not as good either.
I dont think you can set the system mtu with the 3750 either.
There are online labs you can use if you question your switch
capabilities.

I think they do 95% of what is required.

  Hi Wayne,

Considering that the difference you've noticed are subtle, but also
considering that the lab is full of subtle subtopics, the structure
  of your
command may, indeed, be a difference of a few points. And,
  considering
every point counts, a two or three point switch QoS question may be
  the
  difference between needing another $1250.

But, personally, I wouldn't worry about the difference too
  much. It's kind
of potato vs. potato (you know what I mean). You should be able to
  do the
majority of the tasks equally between the two switch types. As long
  as you
are confident of 2 things I wouldn't worry one bit about the
  difference:
1)your task interpretation is strong so you are confident about
  EXACTLY what
  the task is requiring
2)you know where to look on the Cisco CD (or hunt thru the IOS) for
  the
answer if you need to know the proper command structure

But this is coming from someone who has taken the lab a few times -
  so
  you're warned! ;-)
  HTH,
  Sean

  Hi Group,

  I could only get 2 x 3750's (WS-C3750-24TS) for my lab. I originally
  thought
newer is better, but I have already noticed some subtle differences
  in the
configuration options that are available for QOS. Could the IOS
differences between the 3750 vs 3550 be a potential problem for my
  lab
  preparation?

  Wayne
