Hi,

Does this helps?
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/459/bgpfaq_5816.shtml#five

Auto Summary is disabled by default, that does not means that R1,2,3,Sw1 has
the auto enabled

Can anyone shed some light?

By default when a route is redistributed into BGP it is automatically
summarized to the classful boundary. To disable this behavior, issue the
routing
process sub-command no auto-summary. Note that auto-summary in BGP only
applies to routes originated into BGP via redistribution, and does not
affect routes
originated via the network statement.

Why this command has been used with Lab 7 V3 Task 5.1 R6, since we have not
used redistribution command with BGP under this router ?
